A Post Holiday PSA For Every Midlife Woman

Big Wellness Loves Middle-Aged Women… (and Why I'm Not Having it)

Hi Reader,

I hope your Christmas was meaningful in its own imperfect, holy way.

For so many women, the holidays feel like a tug-of-war—between joy and exhaustion, celebration and stress, nourishment and temptation. If that was you this year, take a deep breath and hear this with love:

There is grace for you. You’re not behind. Your body isn’t “ruined.” You’re simply human—navigating a tender season with a nervous system that’s been doing the absolute most.

Here is a gentle reminder to build resilience through faith that is rooted in Christ.

You’re still on the path. God’s mercies really are new every morning.

And if this Christmas brought you little wins—if you honored your hunger cues, kept cravings steady, stayed present in your body, or used the simple tools we’ve been practicing these last few weeks—then pause and celebrate that.
Not with perfectionism… with praise. 🙌🏻

Those small decisions are evidence that you’re healing. That your metabolism is becoming more resilient. That you’re practicing stewardship instead of restriction. I’m cheering loudly for you.

Wherever you fell on that spectrum—grace or growth—I'm grateful you're here.

And with that heart posture, there’s something I read this week that felt especially timely and, honestly, stopped me in my tracks, especially as a health and wellness coach.

“Big Wellness loves middle-aged women.”

Of course they do.

We’ve got wisdom, grit, and bank accounts…
and they know we’re exhausted, inflamed, overwhelmed, and desperate for relief—especially this time of year.

And that’s exactly why I want to share something important with you today.

Dr. Mindy just released a new episode breaking down how Big Wellness markets to women like us—and more importantly, how to protect yourself from being sold quick fixes that don’t actually fix anything.

Her message is powerful, and I added my own faith-filled take on it in a new blog post for you.

If you’ve ever wondered:

  • Do I really need this supplement?
  • Is this influencer telling me the truth or just being bought?
  • How do I know what actually matters for my health?

…this will bring so much clarity and peace.

In a season when everyone is selling you something, especially right here close to the start of a new year, I hope this helps you breathe, think clearly, and remember this:

Your lifestyle heals you. Not the gimmicks. Not the gadgets. Not the ads.
And with God’s wisdom, your body is far more resilient than you’ve been told.

I’m grateful to walk this journey with you.
More soon.

Warmly,
💕 Coach AJ
